Tuesday November 8th, 2011 is day we will never forget.

A day full of firsts for Tracy: First time out of the hospital since her bike accident. First time in a wheelchair taxi. First time telling her spinal injury story to a large group.

But what a day it was! A chance to be part of the Toronto leg of Rick Hansen’s 25th Anniversary Man-in-Motion Tour. It was incredibly emotional, and Tracy loved every minute of it. Rick Hansen is a hero to every Canadian and I know he’s already had a profound impact on Tracy and her new journey as a paraplegic.

Our family thanks Rick and his incredible team for including Tracy. I wish you’d all been there to share it with us.
